Workshop: “The Digital Transformation of the University.”

Through the workshop “The Digital Transformation of the University: How to Lead a Learning Ecosystem?” participants learned from experts about the importance of digital transformation in the university. They created a leadership profile to be implemented in the learning ecosystem through the use of digital tools.

On June 10th, this workshop took place with the participation of 79 attendees from various institutions involved in the PROF-XXI project, coming from Colombia, Guatemala, Spain, Chile, and Portugal. This aligns with the overall goal of the PROF-XXI project, which is to build capacities for the development of Teaching and Learning Centers (CEAs) for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Latin America in the 21st century.

This workshop was conducted by Dr. Oscar Jerez from the University of Chile and Dr. Antonio Moreira Teixeira, Associate Professor at the Universidade Aberta in Portugal.

To begin, Dr. Antonio emphasized the key characteristics for promoting educational innovation, implementing the framework.

Throughout the workshop, constructivist activities were carried out by the attendees with the aim of reinforcing their knowledge and insights on the topic.

Finally, the speakers answered questions from the audience, further expanding on the topics covered and addressing doubts.

This is the second workshop in a series that Project PROF-XXI has planned to support teachers in developing content, digital resources, and optimizing the necessary skills for the construction of Teaching and Learning Centers (CEAs).
