On October 7, 2021, the Faculty Training Plan in Digital Competence: Explorer Level began at the University of San Buenaventura Cali. This training, which continues until May 2022, aims to recognize a wide range of technological tools and how to integrate them into educational practice, developing skills in information, media, and technologies. It includes information literacy, media literacy (media analysis and media product creation), and information and communication technology literacy, which specifically focuses on the effective use of technology and understanding the ethical and legal aspects of its use.
This training process has allowed significant progress in the University regarding digital competence. It enables educators to face academic and social situations in a digital environment in a reflective manner, emphasizing safe, critical, and responsible use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
