PROF-XXI carries out a diagnosis of institutional practices in relation to teaching and learning. The purpose of the institutional diagnosis is to identify the institutional practices related to teaching and learning in each of the 4 Latin American HEIs that are partners in the project (UG, USAC, UCA, USBC). This diagnosis allows detecting deficiencies of each institution in its internal processes, teachers’ skills, teaching-learning methodologies used, educational content dissemination formats, support staff, teacher training plans, student profiles, etc.
It is important to highlight that 4 HEIs with diverse characteristics have been chosen: two public universities in Guatemala and Colombia (USAC and UCA, respectively) and two private universities in Guatemala and Colombia (UG and USBC), of different sizes, so a certain disparity is expected in the institutional practices of these institutions.
