Prof XXI – «Supporting 21st Century Educators»

In the 21st century, digital and technological competencies have become an inherent necessity. Faculty members in institutions of higher education must embark on a process of transformation and adaptation to the changing landscape of teaching and learning.

The current state of education worldwide, stemming from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, has led institutions of higher education (IHEs) to face the challenge of swiftly transitioning from their traditional teaching and learning experiences to an emergency remote mode that ensures academic continuity.

Proyecto PROFXXI- Apoyando a los docentes del siglo XXI.

This project originates from the concern of Latin American Higher Education Institutions (IES) about improving the quality of their teaching and learning processes. This concern has arisen due to the rapid growth of tertiary education institutions in the region.

One of the most urgent measures is to ensure that professionals and teachers in Higher Education Institutions (IES) are well-trained and have sufficient support to carry out efficient and effective educational innovation processes in both in-person, virtual, and blended education.

Considering the challenge this may represent for all educators, the PROF-XXI project has defined a series of webinars within the European Framework for Digital Competence for Teachers.

Each of the webinars aims to support teaching staff in the development, implementation, and activation of the digital competencies listed below:

To date, we have had the participation of 14,743 registered individuals from various countries in Latin America and Europe who have already expanded their knowledge. We have also received more than 27,701 views and replays of our webinars.
