The partners of the PROFXXI project actively participated in the tenth edition of the eMadrid Workshops, titled «E-Learning in the New Normal.» The X eMadrid Workshops are organized by the eMadrid network (a project that brings together researchers from UC3M, UAM, UCM, UPM, UNED, and URJC) and were held in collaboration with the PROF-XXI project. These workshops addressed the future of online learning during a time of crisis when this type of teaching has proven to be essential for education.
This event took place on September 23 and 24, and it was conducted online using the Blackboard Collaborate platform.
It featured the participation of Dr. Carlos Delgado Kloos from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain), Dr. Rocael Hernandez from the Universidad Galileo (Guatemala), Dr. António Moreira Teixeira from the Universidade Aberta (Portugal), and Dr. Óscar Jerez from the University of Chile. These experts and researchers come from seven of the top universities in Latin America. They engaged in a roundtable discussion about the experience of the «new normal» in higher education in the Americas.
The aim of this event was to generate broad discussions about the future of online learning in the context of the ongoing global pandemic.
