Partners of the PROF-XXI project participated as evaluators in the Innova MOOCs project, an event organized by Red CEDIA in Ecuador. The three professionals responsible for the evaluation assessed various MOOC initiatives for Ecuador, with the following objectives:
- Enhancing the visibility of initiatives from Higher Education Institutions (IES), both in the course’s field or discipline and in a general context.
- Expanding the participation of teachers to create a diverse and global learning community.
- Incorporating significant elements or specific competencies that generate the need for certifications, thereby ensuring the sustainability of the proposal.
The expert partners in higher education from the PROF-XXI project who participated as evaluators are:
- Dr. Rocael Hernández – University of Galileo (Guatemala).
- Dr. Carlos Alario-Hoyos – Carlos III University of Madrid (Spain).
- Dr. Miguel Morales – University of Galileo (Guatemala).
Innova MOOCs aims to encourage the involvement of teachers and higher education institutions in the development of MOOCs through this competition. Its main objectives include forming groups for publications and organizations, exploring innovative and open topics, creating proposals for evaluation, and leveraging the potential of using technology in the teaching and learning process.
