The Center for Quality Management and Institutional Accreditation, in collaboration with the Center for Continuing, Open, and Virtual Education at the University of Cauca, and the PROF-XXI project: Building Capacities for the Development of Teaching and Learning Centers (CEAs) for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Latin America in the 21st Century, began the ninth cohort of the Diploma in Educational Innovations in Higher Education on March 1. This program is aimed at university professors, both permanent and temporary, at the Popayán and Santander de Quilichao campus in Cauca, Colombia, with a capacity of up to 30 participants.
The Diploma covers topics of interest to 21st-century university professors, including active-reflective learning, flipped classrooms, neuropsychology of learning, gamification, perception and learning, educational content production, virtual environments, constructivism, and constructionism, learning in massive environments, case studies, and research as a teaching strategy, among others. It is delivered through both in-person and online sessions held on Tuesday nights over 16 weeks. Professors who meet the attendance and evidence development requirements will receive a certification at the end of the program in a ceremony.
