With the aim of contributing to the ongoing discussion about the increasingly recognized importance of sustainable processes of educational innovation as a means to enhance the quality of learning and excellence, the «Educational Innovation Sessions and Closing of the Ninth Cohort of the Diploma in Educational Innovations in Higher Education» were held on June 16 and 17, 2022, at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Accounting, Economics, and Administrative Sciences at the Tulcán Campus, University of Cauca, Popayán, Colombia. The event featured the presence of researchers from Chile, Spain, Guatemala, and Colombia, with more than 115 in-person attendees.
The sessions included international keynote speakers who are experts in the fields of innovation, pedagogy, ICT, and research, including: Miguel Morales from the University of Galileo in Guatemala, Oscar Jerez Yáñez from the University of Chile, Carlos Alario Hoyos from the Carlos III University of Madrid, Spain, Miguel Morales Chang representing the University of Galileo in Guatemala City, Astrid González from the University of San Buenaventura in Cali, and PhD Mario Solarte from the University of Cauca.
The objective of this event was to promote academic excellence through sustainable teaching and learning processes for teachers in higher education institutions in Latin America.
